The CoreGUI PrivTB Beta
  • The new f1 Taskbar was introduced for this, overtaking the legacy thin style taskbar, adding a new theme
  • PrivTB was introduced in the V1.2.3 evolution, but was ultimately scrapped
  • Desktop Policy Manager can now detect and resolve issues with dock settings
  • Automatic updates were added and a notification icon was created
  • Additional notification icons were added to f1
  • fmgrv2 was greatly overhauled
  • aboutcgui, AKA aboutbox was added
  • The new automatic update tool was added to CoreSettings and is still functional to this date
  • Disks and Storage was finalised, but contains issues of some disks not showing
  • personalisation was added, allowing extensive customisability of the CoreGUI dock and wallpaper. Themes were planned to be added but never finalised in this version
  • CHWP32BROWSER was overhauled, but never finished
  • Additional temporary dock themes were added to personalisation
  • Terminal server tab in CoreSettings was disabled
  • A check for updates button in CoreSettings was added which used the notification icon to display if an update was available
  • A startup notice was added
  • Setting the default dock configuration causes the clock to go missing
  • The Updates and security page was never finished
  • Additional Dependancies installer no longer crashes if the dependencies are already installed
  • Application Settings tab added for CoreGUI Apps was created, but ultimately not used and scrapped
  • SOWARN was introduced and added which shows when CoreGUI launches
  • A WINE stealth mode was added
  • A beta version of showing all apps in taskbar was introduced
  • The enter button in Run Program now starts the program instantly, without having to push OK



trivia

  • 1.2.3 is the only series to contain a build where the identifier is completely unknown and not categorised. Further information on this build here CoreGUI V1.2.3 Priv 2020 (1.2.3.3XX Series)
  • some builds of v1.2.3 required MyCloudLillith logons into order to be used. This was to protect the software from being used in environments where it could cause damage from unfinished parts
  • personalisation was the only app in CoreGUI to have a custom Dock background
  • personalisation was never finished and still shows as (alpha-2)
