The Vboxwarning message

Vboxwarning is a CoreGUI System App responsible for notifying the user if CoreGUI detects it's running under a virtualised environment.

The message displayed will changed based on the following Hypervisors in use:

  • Hyper-V
  • VMWare
  • VirtualBox

The message displayed informs the user that Hyper-V is the recommended hypervisor for running CoreGUI and that graphical glitches are known to occurr under virtualised environemnts, or when running CoreGUI under Windows Service Mode/Backstage mode.

The warning can be disabled by selecting the 'Please don't remind me again' checkbox or creating DisVM.CGUI in the CoreGUI root directory.
