CoreGUI V1.0.2

CoreGUI V1.0.2 was the second update released to CoreGUI, with it being the first update to introduce significant changes to the features available.

Appearence

Version 1.0.2 of CoreGUI introduced several noticable changes at a first glance to the desktop environment. More graphical features, icons and bitmaps were introduced however CoreGUI and applications still display no title icons.

Some notable features include:

  • FreeRAMbar was introduced and is present on F1
  • The F1 apps menu has been restructured
  • F1 now has a status icon next to the network indicator
  • CoreSettings now has the new dark theme applied
  • CoreSettings 'default' page has now been named 'About'
  • fmgr has been introduced, Version 1.0 of CoreGUI File Manager
  • DownloadTool has been introduced
  • rpg has been introduced.
  • Power was introduced to F1 apps menu, however it does not launch anything. This was likely around the time Powerz was being developed.

CoreSettings

Some noticable changes were introduced to CoreSettings:

  • Default page was renamed to About

The About page in this build contains the build number, CoreGUI name and the pet300 resource. This page also contains a non-functional 'Check For Updates' button

Download Tool shows a download bitmap followed by an input box for 'dltool' to specify the default save location. Download Tool however ignores anything here.

    • File Manager

File Manager now shows a selection of items for settings, however these do not reflect in fmgr

    • Dock

The dock now has multiple items available to change, changing these boxes are reflected however become reverted the next time CoreSettings is started.

Build Notes

  • CoreGUI V1.0.2 was the first build to introduce separate 32-Bit and 64-Bit builds.
  • This build resolved the date and time issue present in CoreGUI V1.0.1 and CoreGUI V1.0.0
  • This build resolves the issue where the network would show as always disconnected
  • CoreSettings no longer shows an error message for changing the resolution when setres is present.
  • On the 32-Bit release of this version, it was accidentally named CoreGUI V1.0.3
