Batpan is a non-user interactable form that's only called by F1 when the user highlights the mouse over the Battery Icon.

Batpan will display the following information:

  • Battery Icon (relevant to status)
  • Battery Status (Charging, Discharging)
  • Battery Percentage
  • Time remaining (if on battery)

Trivia

  • The idea behind F1 *Pan's came from Windows Vista, where the user could hover over a status icon for some further information, without having to launch any specific applications.
  • Batpan will disappear automatically when the user moves their mouse off the Battery Icon in F1.
  • Batpan will incorrectly display the status as 'Charging' in Virtual Machines.
