CGUIUPD (CoreGUI Updater) is an interface that was previously used and still can be used to manually update CoreGUI, providing you have the update files ready. This was replaced in modern versions by CGUIAUPD32 once the FTP structure was finalised.
The Interface
CGUIUPD has the ability to update the following modules:
- CoreGUI
- CGUIMD
- CGUIUPD
- CoreGUI LogonUI
- CoreGUI NT Authority LogonUI
- CGUIWP32
Once a module has been selected, the user can then push Browse which will launch a stripped down version of fmgr. This allows the user to then select an update file to be installed.
Known Issues
- If CGUIUPD is selected, the application itself can be selected, causing it to crash. This also applies to CoreGUI by selecting CoreGUI from c:\cgui\coregui.
